WAIKATO
This 19 shed poultry development in the Waikato a Pedigree GGP farm developed for a multi national poultry livestock producer, with all raised birds distributed to the international market. With a total of 40,000 sqm of buildings across 19 individual buildings the attention to detail and construction programing was second to none. Geotechnical conditions were challenging with a peat substrate and the associate high water table requiring a design to allow for potential differential settlement. The entire operation is a fully biosecure site with controlled access and shower in/shower out facilities constructed in each building block. The project utilised the latest international quality ventilation and animal welfare technologies to create a truly world class, large scale poultry operation in New Zealand.
